I love to travel!
My name is Alvaro Manrique, and I am someone who dreams of traveling to at least 100 countries during my lifetime. After visiting several countries and experiencing their cultures, I realized that traveling is my greatest passion. In 2024, when I receive my Information Technology degree, I plan to travel the world for at least six consecutive months. My desired destinations are Southeast Asia, Europe, and Latin America..
I love saving money, so I stopped eating at restaurants in NYC, where dining out can cost anywhere from $50 to $100 on average. I have also stopped traveling domestically in the United States. My friends in Florida often invite me to visit them and go to theme parks like Magic Kingdom, but the cost can add up to $1,000 for just a few days. In many countries in Latin America and Southeast Asia, that amount would be enough to visit several fascinating places. Therefore, I have been saving as much as possible for travel, even during the COVID-19 lockdown period. I worked as a delivery cyclist in New York City, which allowed me to save a decent amount for my travel budget. People in those days used to be generous by giving good tips.
On the other hand, I find inspiration in the travel videos of Drew Binsky and Nas Daily. Drew Binsky has visited every country in the world, and his favorite saying is "TRAVEL is the BEST EDUCATION I've Ever Had." Meanwhile, Nas Daily's travel experiences, featuring incredible people from around the world, are very inspiring. I hope that in a few years, I can share many of my own experiences from my travels around the world.
